Increased Functionality for Workflow Re-enrollment
Recently it appears that re-enrollment restrictions for workflows have become more limited and it is presenting a significant obstacle for some use cases, which we can no longer find a way to automate with these new restrictions.
There have always been limitations regarding re-enrollment of records in a workflow using cross-object filters, such as “Any contact with a Deal that has a Create Date of more than 30 days ago”. That said, we have had a few ways to work around this up until now that are no longer available:
Lists using multi-object filters: Previously we could use a contact list for example that contained the criteria “Any contact with a Deal that has a Create Date of more than 30 days ago”, which would work just fine to re-enroll contacts into a workflow. This no longer is possible, though it is somewhat understandable.
Other Object Related Properties in the Same Object: There are native properties within the same object of the workflow but related to others, such as contact properties related to associated deals, such as “Recent deal close date”, which could also be used to re-enroll contacts previously. These properties also now seem to be blocked from being used for re-enrollment.
With the new updates, it’s possible that I have missed something — has anyone been able to get re-enrollment to work for cross-object use cases using some sort of work around?
If not, I know that HubSpot is always super responsive to feedback on new features, which is why I absolutely love HubSpot! So it would be great if we could regain some functionality here in regard to cross-object functionality for workflow re-enrollment.
Why has it been removed in the first place? I have sort of same use case. I'm really suprised to see the lack of flexibility on the workflows when compared to other systems like Salesforce. If you ask me there should be much more flexibility, especially if you also have the operations package.
