Increase the maximum allowed size on file uploads in forms

The maximum limit of 100MB per file is not nearly large enough if we are to include file uploads as part of our support form.

Our visitors will often need to include files many times larger than that if the Support File Upload will be of any value.

We would happily pay extra for a functionality that allowed us to recieve files of 100GB+ as it would be of great value.

Any suggestions on how we can sove this?

Great idea! We have crash and dump files that are far larger than 100MB.

Here as well, we need large file sizes for the support form. Our log files can be up to 1GB. The file manager seems to be able to handle larger files - so I think this should be feasible with current infrastructure. Maybe a custom file size limit would be the best solution (some other teams might want to avoid large files).

I think it should also be included for free in Service Hub Pro and larger plans. Could be a differentiator for lower tier plans. However, we would also be willing to pay for this. An alternative solution would be to allow extensions, that can upload larger files.

btw it would be ok for us, if this would only work for the support form

@watanak  Just to update on this since we first ran into the problem 1 year ago:

  • After being limited by the Hubspot form, we linked an external google form for log file upload within the Hubspot form. In the meantime, this produced so many customer complaints (google login needed, poor UX) that we are reviewing how tickets can be submitted via form and we are consider to stop using the Hubspot form because of this.
  • Atm it looks like the only solution would be to turn off the Hubspot form and implement our own form outside of Hubspot which results in another list of longer headaches.
  • Maybe a good solution would be to allow large file uploads only if 1) a captcha is filled or 2) if the user submitting the file is a logged in user in the Hubspot KB. I understand that Hubspot would be concerned about too many files or some security problems - limiting to logged in users should partially reduce that risk.
  • Overall it would still be a huge win for us if we could increase file size to let's say 1GB max per file and max 5GB for all files. Even a limit of 500MB per file and 1.5GB for all files would improve the situation considerably on our end.

I would love to have an increase to file size limits for form uploads as well. We are currently looking for a solution to collect videos from our donors/supporters. And there are plenty of videos that are larger than 100mb, which makes this a solution that would be difficult to use.

We also need an increased upload size very urgently - our customers need to send us screen recordings via the support forms and can not do it because of the restriction.

Hello,

we need something similar, but the other way round.  We want to limit the filesize to 10 MB, since in our case we need to send those files via email to external partners.

So if HS develops a solution to change the filesize limit, please make it so it goes both ways, bigger and smaler.

As a support specialist, I would appreciate seeing this limit increased so that customers can upload files over 100MB/1GB. Thank you! 🙂

We are also running into this issue for a client of ours. Their customers are attempting to upload support log files when creating tickets using a HubSpot form. At times, the support log files exceed 100MB. The inability of our client to properly receive these files at the time the ticket is being created is causing them to second-guess whether or not they should use Service Hub as a support solution.

I agree with the suggestions above about limiting it to forms that create tickets and requiring the captcha to authenticate that the submitter is a human.

@watanak I see your update says this is being reviewed. Is there any additional info you can provide? Please let us know what the status is of this idea. Thanks!

has this been updated? We also need to upload large documents.

I have the same trouble with the workflow. Our customers often need to send in 20gb of files that require our troubleshooting. An integration with google drive would even work just fine for us!

This is desperately needed. You could even charge our account to increase the space. A win-win!

Ability to have the larger files, as well as ability by activity or File Explorer option to purge them.  No need to keep support files indefinately

We also need this on our team.

We'd need this as well. We'd like to be able to limit form file uploads to 10-15MB.

Services like WeTransfer are great for getting large file uploads. It would be amazing if this kind of service was natively built into a HubSpot form so all attachments are contained within the same ticket.
