Improved reporting and analytics on the sequence summary page
The default reports on the sequence summary page (shown below) do not provide adequate insight as to how a sequence is performing, or functionality to allow folks to view and act on the contacts that are currently in a sequence.
Additional reports are required to get the full picture for how my sequences are performing, and the existing reports must be updated with behavior and functionality to allow me to see how contacts are engaging and responding to my sequence.
This idea was created by the HubSpot product team to communicate progress and take in feedback on this active project/current priority.
Here are some more detail/known problems we are looking to address as part of this idea:
Sequences will only attribute meetings booked and replies received if they were Templates or meeting links within the sequence, however, meetings and emails outside the sequence still cause the sequence to unenroll
Manual unenrollments aren’t currently counted towards any of the unenroll metrics. When a sequence is manually unenrolled, a reason must be known and accounted for in reporting
The step table report is confusing and can be misleading whenever steps are added, removed, or rearranged
The status in the enrollment table does not update once the sequence has ended, but replies received after the sequence has ended still count towards the reply rate for that sequence
Here are some outcomes we'd like to achieve:
Maximize my understanding for what is creating success in my sequences
Minimize the time it takes to search and discover the contacts actively engaging
Help me understand if my sequence needs improvements, such as the adding/removing steps, or switching out a low performing template
Improved clarity for how success and engagement metrics are calculated

The way we use sequences is we have "themes" and then we have an A and a B version of the theme, and then each sales rep copies the template sequence and customizes it.
We have had to use naming conventions to try and report on this and work out which themes are performing and whether the A or B version performs better. And the nuances across rep.
It would be good to be able to put sequences into "themes" and then we can report on the theme. Even if we could group them by Folder. But the folder feature does not work very well either.
