Currently snippets can only be created manually and there is no way to create snippets in bulk such as through an import. It requires a lot of copy and paste which most users do have the time or resources to devote to.
It would be beneficial to have the ability to mass import snippets in HubSpot, given their versatility across different areas such as contact, company, deal, and ticket records, as well as in email templates, chat conversations, and when logging activities or notes. This feature would be particularly valuable if users could access it on both desktop and mobile platforms with a select multiple option.
I'd love the option to import snippets (and templates) - this would also require an export function to allow teams to clean up and modify existing snippets (and templates).
We have 70+ snippets that we need to add (and more to create/maintain in the future). An option to bulk import (or more preferably, create/update via the API), would be hugely helpful!
Just switched from Zendesk to HubSpot. We had 428 macros which is the Zendesk equivalent of Snippets. I have to create these one...by...one...very painful to even think about. I upvote having a bulk snippet feature or at least an API endpoint 1000%
Thanks for posting this idea @KHeng. Make a lot of sense.
This will be especially useful as we answer in three languages. Then we can create the snippets in one language and have them translated to the two other languages and imported. Would be nice to have.
And to whichever PM at Hubspot review this for consideration... snippets may not be a flashy high-profile feature of Hubspot, but it actually has a LOT of surface area: it has high visibility across the platform, and is one of just a handful of features that reach beyond hubspot.com and show up in email integrations/etc...
Providing API support in particular would make snippets way more useful. Consider event invites: If I have a snippet for "the next upcoming event", that is something that needs to change frequently, with the language shifting "a few weeks", "next week", "tomorrow", etc... and then inserting the wrong event (say an old snippet the day after the event) can be damaging to reputation... Being able to make those changes to a snippet automatically via API would be a huge benefit, and make snippets as a high-visibility feature way more valuable.
You could deliver a lot of impact to large and sophisticated Hubspot customers with this!
