Currently there is no way to extrapolate task listed under Projects into Reports. You can only show tasks from Sales but not tasks listed under Projects. We need the ability to Filter based on Project and task types as well as associated users.
As Head of Growth, I'd like to see reporting for Projects in order to be able to integrate the work we do in HubSpot with our business-wide reporting and KPIs.
Not being able to track tasks, late task, project completion levels, etc. means it's impossible to use HubSpot projects for our KPI reporting (INFOTIS, for example). So we have to duplicate the HubSpot project into a project planner in order to deliver our reports.
Alternatively, an API that allows the projects tool to be integrated with external projects management software would be a reasonable workaround, so that we can manage projects effectively in one place, without duplicating work.
Given how powerful the rest of the reporting platform is, it's a shame that the projects section is so underdeveloped.
@SpiderNatalie - completely agree with you. To have so many other pieces of data surrounding projects, the project itself, tasks/subtasks, and then not be able to report on it or have a dashboard at a glance style capability is baffling......
This is exactly what I need to be able to do - its a shame as the projects feature seems like such a good tool, but a complete waste of time if you have to duplicate elsewhere to report on it.
YES!!!! Visualization of progress/completion AND having days between tasks would be ideal... ie 10 days between task 1 and 2, 3 days between task 2-task 3 etc.. and connnect to ticket object to capture visualization??
Yes, absolutely! We have found the Projects tool very useful for running some of our smaller customer projects with our Account Managers. They would like to see this on their reporting dashboard.
I agree. We are currently adding Project Planning throughout the entire company and need to have this activity feed into the reporting and dashboards and also have the ability to view projects by users & other filters. At this point we have to look for another solution whether it is 3rd party or not.
Does anyone have any suggestions on 3rd party applications that can help with our goal?
@DCard I have looked at the API documentation with this in mind. There does not appear to be a public endpoint for this, so I don't think there could be a 3rd party solution. Projects is such a nice feature. It is a shame we can't get at the data. The feature is not found through a 'typical' navigation path, so it might be a while before we get enough upvotes 🙂
