Currently we do not have the ability to send quote discounts to managers for approval and cannot set an 'acceptable' discount level that doesn't need approval.
We can remove the "discount" column in the quote view itself, but any one with quotes access can put this back in - and that is every sales rep!
This is potentially dangerous to a business and the only work around is to build a report to keep an eye on any discounts granted, however this is reactive and not proactive. Would love to see more granular control on this section of the tool.
Agree wholeheartedly. Super Admins should be able to restrict field-level access by user, set limits on field-level inputs, and easily trigger quote approval with varying parameters. Ideally, the bulk of quotes should be able to be restricted in such a way that approvals on most would not be necessary, thereby eliminating administrative headaches and bottlenecks and maintaining data integrity.
