Email formatting could be so much more user friendly if there was a central option to define the format for the final result. Now every template, snippet, signature can have a different format which makes it very difficult to maintain. And we all know, inconsistant formatting looks sloppy.
I would like all my emails to go out in tahoma, 11p. Why not create a per user option that forces a set format on the combined final result. Your competitor SalesLoft does it like that - it's a very elegant solution to makes sure the final result is consistant and you never have to worry about formating again.
This feature would be really helpful. Having inconsistent snippet fonts is impacting our sales, as having to manually remove formatting & check the font is in line with our email templates uses valuable sales team time.
C'mon, HubSpot. This is so basic I can't even believe we're talking about it, let alone planning on this "Idea" of being old enough to go to Kindergarten this year!
I use this method to identify which CRM companies are using at this stage. If the emails are so long they look like a CVS receipt, it's Zendesk; if the fonts look like a ransom note, it's HubSpot.
FINALLY! - A Simple Solution to email signature formatting for those of us who can't program HTML!
This took me <10 minutes:
1/ Open your Gmail / Outlook and copy your Signature
2/ Load into Chat GPT with the phrase "create this email signature in HTML"
3/ Paste the output into Hubspot Signature Settings (ensure you have the HTML box checked to the right)
4/ Enjoy!
Notes:
- Trial and error works! It's easy to cut/paste from ChatGPT into Hubspot and see how it's looking... and then ask ChatGPT to make any modifications.. and repaste. Example:
- ChatGPT did not include my company logo first time - so I asked it to "add my logo". and received this in reply
<img src="https://www.company.net/logo.png" ...>. I then did a google image search to find a version of my logo I could reference which had a short URL. I edited the HTML file to replace the placeholder using this URL. That worked, but the logo was small, so I asked ChatGPT to resize the logo and to hotlink it to my company's website.
It’s 2025, and I’m surprised this is still an issue. Most users probably don’t even realize that their email signature font and size don’t match the body of their emails. It’s frustrating. If you build your signature directly in HubSpot using the built-in editor (not custom HTML), you’d expect to be able to set a default font family and size that aligns with your email templates—but you can’t. What’s the point of offering a signature editor if the formatting doesn’t stay consistent? We’re migrating 200 sales reps into HubSpot and only now discovering this limitation. Please fix this as soon as possible.
