GDPR: give contacts a link so they can download their data

It's a (maybe not too well known) GDPR requirement that a contact has the right to receive a copy of all data that is stored about them.

 

At the moment, the process is full of hassle: we have to use the CRM engagements API and lists so we have something that we could export and then manually send the contact who requested a copy of their data.

 

It would be much more convenient if we could just send out a link to the customer who requested a copy of their data and have them download it themselves.

 

Additionally, this could also be part of the email newsletter footer and therefore make everything in the European Union appear more serious.
