As a HubSpot user, I would like to analyse forms and their submission in the custom report builder. This was already possible in beta, but was unfortunately removed again upon release.
Unfortunately, @JoeMayall's solution to this only works to a limited extent for our use case: "The best place to analyze form submissions is in the Form Analytics page (Analytics Tools > Forms)"
What we need:
Filter submissions (e.g. by lifecyclestage of the contact)
Further data on submissions (e.g. on which website took it place).
Further options for graphical representation. Currently there are only Area, Column and Line.
Drill down from the report to the individual contact. Similar to almost all existing reports, a table should open when the report is interacted with. At present, the report only links to the form.
And most importantly: A report that depends on the exact time of the submission. First and recent conversion are too imprecise for this.
It would also be highly appreciated, if the reporting feature included the options to get a combined report of multiple selected forms.
In real life use cases, companies would like to measure form submissions across all their forms for one specific business unit for example, or across all forms that are being used on ad campaign landing pages etc.
Any details on when we can see this being available for us to start using? Our company would really benefit from being able to report on form submissions and report on the count of submissions based on the date of the submissions, origin of the submissions, what our most active form is, etc. I think having access to create reports on form submissions will be a great asset.
[Public Beta] Build Custom Reports on Form Submissions
We are excited to announce the rollout of supporting form submissions as a data source in the Custom Report Builder (see here).
Why does it matter?
You can now build a variety of reports based on form submissions to understand how your forms are performing, slice and dice form submissions data and much more.
Some of the reports that you can build are:
Form Submissions Count for a form over time
Submissions count grouped by Forms over time
Submissions for a form by page over time
Submissions by source
Submissions Count with specific submission value for a property
Submissions count by new contacts vs existing contacts across forms
Contacts Created count by Form
Submissions from contacts with specific LCS
Conversion rate for a form over time
How does it work?
Under custom report builder, select "Forms", "Form Submissions" and "Form Analytics" as the data sources. Also select other required data sources such as Contacts, Companies etc.
Using the various data sources selected, pull the required fields.
Apply the necessary filters
Choose the appropriate chart types for your report.
Thanks for the update. I'd love to join the beta but the link you shared last week isn't working for me. Can you let us know the best way to gain access?
Good morning, @KCraig9@ENash & @SMarks! The reason you can't find the link is that, after the announcement, the BETA was rolled back due to an issue we are currently fixing... TBD on timeline, but I'll make sure to reply as soon as this becomes available again! Apologies for the confusion and thank you for your patience.
I just tried the new feature. Very usefull. The only thing that you could improve is to display the names of the forms. So that, we could select easily the usefull forms.
I love the form submissions data source on reports, we are in the process of moving all our Lead/Opps reporting over to Hubspot. With that said, I ran into an issue where I am unable to filter by form submission date on a Dashboard (even if all the reports on there have Form Submission as the primary Data Source). Are there any plans to build out Dashboard level filtering on Form Submission date/timestamp?
