Forms Update "last activity date" Property

When a current contact fills out a form on our website, it does not update their "last activity date" in Hubspot. This should be considered "activity" because they are interacting with the company. Without this update, it can appear that a contact has not interacted with the company for a long time, when in reality, they are submitting contact forms or other forms. (Some customer show that they haven't interacted with our company in over a year, when in reality, they filled out a "contact us" form on our website yesterday.)

It would be extremely helpful to our sales and customer success teams if inbound form fills (or any form fills) updated the last activity date. This would help them filter contacts by last activity date and have an accurate picture of interactions.

This already works for inbound phone calls (the last activity date will update to the time of their last inbound phone call) but not an inbound form fill, which exists for the same purpose.

Please help! Thanks!

We discovered the same issue today, but with tickets. One of our tickets was flagged as having a last activity date of 94 days ago! Turns out, that was totally incorrect, there was a 94-day-old email associated with the ticket for some reason, but the ticket had actually just been created via form two hours ago. The "last activity date" property on the ticket should take form submissions into account.

Hi,

I think it's best not to mix the concepts of sales activities and marketing interactions.
Indeed, you may want to identify new leads who have submitted a form but have not yet been contacted by a sales person.

The HubSpot property Recent conversion date precisely shows the date the contact last submitted a form (they should have called it Last form submitted date by the way, it would have been much easier to understand).
