Forms - Progressive GDPR - Asking for consent each time a form is submitted?

All our brochures are gated, and we use the same form for all 40 products with an on-submit action to open a link to a downloadable.

Before GDPR (POPI in South Africa), we only collected contact details once; then, the user just saw a download button on the other pages. Quick and easy.

If you enable GDPR consent and subscription on forms, each time users want to download or contact us, they need to give consent again. This causes friction, and users feel we are bugging them by constantly asking for consent.

Our laws require us to obtain consent to store/process only once, but the forms have no option to hide or shorten the disclaimers/consent request if it has already been given.

Please give us the option to customize GDPR behaviour to our own laws.

Asking users for consent many times can be such a bad user experience so I hope the team will find a solution so the consent check box doesn't have to be requested every time a user wants to contact us via a form.
