We really need the ability to filter by association label outside of creating a list. If a company has more than 5 contacts associated, then currently we have to create a list and filter by company and association label to view the contacts with a specific label. It would be way easier to click "View More Contacts" and be able to view association labels from the Contacts view.
YES - THis is a must have. Now associations are just like a post it.. You can stick it anywhere. But you can not use it for reporting, workflows, filters, views or whatsoever.
It would be great to be able to for instance filter all contacts who have a association with a custom object in de overview, maybe do another filtering and the click a button, so it creates a list of that specific contacts.
Any updates @jconsing ? We are a pool company and need to filter by pool owner (in a deal we have pool owners, electricians, gas fitters, contractors and architects) however only our pool owners need to receive a survey on how they feel about their pool. I'd like to create a List to start to organize contacts for this survey but it's turning out to be incredibly manual. Let us know if you have any updates or maybe I missed an update!
Would appreciate an update on potential release date. We have client contact vs. plan participants as our association labels and could really use a much more integrative way to segment our messaging for various communication needs outside of the Lifecycle Stage function.
I have an update on my end. I worked with the HubSpot support and we were able to create a list filtering by "pool owner" an association label of a contact in relation to a deal.
"To do this, you can follow the exact same steps in the loom video except you will be choosing 'Deal' for the associated object. The associated property needs to be selected first. Once you have selected the deal stage, you should be able to select the Pool Owner label. " - Hub support person
There's a really unintuitive click that I missed trying to filter by associations. When all of my filters are in place (deal stage and timeline) there's the block on the left side stating "Contact is associated to: Any Deal" - the block is where all of the filters are. You have to CLICK that whole block and it automatically changes to association labels. I found it really easy to miss and not explained very well in the HubSpot forums, so hopefully this helps someone else! At least I got a list of all pool owners in a closed/won deal stage... still hoping to see if I can filter by association to create drip campaigns and set up workflows.
I want to be able to use this in a Data Sync, only syncing contacts from Hubspot with the association label "Billing Contact" to our accounting software, Xero. Doesn't look like it's possible right now.
Yes! This would also be so useful for feedbackl surveys and NPS - if you could use labels as a filter, then you know that it'll go to the correct contact who can give the most accurate score (i.e. we may have 10 contacts on a company but only work directly with one point of contact and decision maker so we would only want them to receive the survey)
I'd like to add onto this that I would love to see negation for these filters too, more logic operators etc. That way I can make lists like "Contact is associated to thing with Label A and explicitly not Label B, and so I get all of the ones that have Label A and none of the ones with Label B even if they also have Label A.
Really need this feature! Now that ticket-to -ticket associations are possible, our support teams works with association labels "Parent" and "Child". When looking at filtered views of tickets, they really only need to look at the parent ticket, but right now I can't set up the filter criteria to only pull those in which defeats the purpose of the tag. My work around solution for now is going to be to create a property called Parent/Child and have the dropdown be those options so I can filter, but I wish I could just do it with the tool that already exists. Any update on this would be greatly appreciated!
This is extremely important when we have a large number of contacts associated to a company. We need to be able to filter the contact view by the association label, such as having the key contacts at the top of the list.
I am shocked and perplexed how with the functionality of creating multiple associated labels can only be filtered by the NUMBER, not the type. To not be able to segment them or use as filters other than the #, is really inefficient.
If there isn't functionality in HS where I can create a contact property that mirrors a value from an association label or other property, to make up for it, then really association labels are just for show. Even Zapier can't help me in automating a non-property type to update a custome property type to help.
It seems redundant to create something custom to do what I want by labeling primary contacts to a company record, when it actually exists just can't be used as well as we could. If I use both the association label AND a custom property, that doubles our workflow, which isn't scalable and adds manual work.
We’ve noticed that association labels are not currently available as filtering options within Advanced Filters even though they can be added as a column.
