Field - Property (Direct Link to an other Contact, Company or Ticket)
Hi everybody,
We would really love to have a feature to create custom fields with the field property "direct link to an existing contact, company, deal or ticket" and have the ability to create a relationship between to objects through this direct link.
Example: Multi-Step Sales Process (Software Company sells software to system partners and they sell it to the end customers) -> I would like to add a custom field at the end customer object which is callend "Primary Partner Contact" and add the the primary contact person from the system partner to the end customer object.
This is something that would be very beneficial to me. Our previous system was SalesForce and we were able to do it.
The value for me - there are many cases where I need to communicate to a specific contact - but it is triggered off of a Deal Workflow. Most of our Deals have multiple Associated Contacts and it is very difficult to create reliable logic to make sure I am getting to the right Contact. This type of direct connection would make this process much easier. Right now I am working on some automation work arounds but to make it work - my users will have to enter the Contact Info directly into the Deal and every time we have a connection with the same Contact - it will be re-work and inefficient and we will have to manually enter the information again - into the Deal record.
I have a similar use case for a client, albeit it with Tickets. We'd like to include one or more links to Contacts in a single property, which you could click on to launch each individual's Contact page. Appreciate you can use Contacts and Association Labels to achieve something similar, but we don't necessarily want this "cluster" of Contact to be highlighted on the Ticket itself. The Ticket relates to only 1-2 Contacts, these other Contacts are external contacts that we may want to contact about the Ticket.
Happy to share more info about the requirement if needed, HubSpot. 🧡
I also would like to see this for tickets. I want to have tickets automatically duplicate certain fields fromt he contact they are associated with. For example, the address for a service call. We like to sort out tickets by location so we can address all tickets in a given area at once. That info exisits on the contact record and should be able to pull to the ticket automatically.
More specifically, we are a home builder. WE need to know which home the ticket is associated with. Not just the contact name. Then we can sort by building and address all units in the same building or community. Right now we use a series of clumsy workflows to copy the data over. For example Community. But for things like bldg there is not easy way to copy from a contact to their ticket when you have a dropdown with 100+ items
This is so vital! So many properties are copied to from Deals > Company > Ticket > Company > Upsell Deal > Company. One property that can be exposed on various objects would save so much effort making sure it's actually moving accurately, but also it would be much easier to maintain the accuracy of data if I/my team were confident as to where to enter it
This would be very helpful for me on several levels, but especially date fields. We have two objects closely tied to deals, and all 3 need to know the installation date. It would be great if there was a master "installation date" field that could be updated in any of the 3 objects, and would not have to have a complicated workflow to update it in the other objects.
@jj12stars Totally with you there! In Salesforce, you'd create a calculated field and 'diplay' the Date value provided by the source date, perahps on the Deal, in several objects. Really missing this in HubSpot!
In Company, I want to be able to identify who the key "Accounts payable contact" is at the organisation and this needs to be unique for each Company. This contact needs to be a HubSpot contact so we get all of the corresponding contact detail and history. This person is who we will send our invoices to so it is very important and we will also want to trigger other specific comms (non marketing) to go to this contact via workflow automations. I cannot add this as a custom field to Contacts as I cannot make it unique in the Company.
Any ideas?
