It would be great if it will be possible to edit a survey after publishing. Right now when the survey is published, I cannot edit or delete questions from the survey, I need to clone it.
This is a significant pain point for our team. We want to be able to edit the survey without modifying the link, because to change the link, we have to re-release our application. The marketing team needs to be able to modify the survey without creating overhead work for the engineering team.
When a survey is published and someone is checking that the options are in the right order as you can quite easily delete option fields and they go out of sync, you cannot get back into the survey you have to clone it to look at what the option number is then go back and delete the clone
I can't believe that this basic functionality has been requested for over 2.5 years and its still not available.
What are the work arounds?
We use surveys to measure various touchpoints to get high level information to inform our focus areas and this changes as our priorities change. To avoid too many surveys being sent, we include our baseline questions on the same survey.
Having to create a new survey each time makes reporting on our baseline metrics incredibly difficult.
The HS surveys tool has now matured nicely. We are using it a lot. BUT... this is a horrible barrier to scale, increases maintenance/mgmt time, makes reporting more difficult etc.
Inability to edit published surveys is a real passion killer! Please!
I understand not being able to alter some parts of the survey for integrity. I had to republish (and then rework other workflows) an entire survey because I had missed one rating question where the *labels* or poor and excellent were the wrong way round. I felt like this should be possible, but perhaps that's key to survey integrity too to be honest.
I really am hoping that Hubspot changes it so that we can update published surveys. We are wanting to move from Survey Monkey to Hubspot to do our participant surveys but won't be able to until we have the option to update a published survey. We need to be able to have all the feedback/participant responses in one survey vs having multiple surveys to have to pull the feedback/responses from. Another option would be if we can't update the published survey to at least when we clone a survey have the participant feedback/responses come with it. That way I can update the cloned survey but still keep all participant feedback that has already been gathered in one place.
I completely agree. It is absurd to have to create a new survey or clone the existing survey just to add a new question or remove an old one. Makes it very difficult to track all the responses when they are spread across multiple surveys. Please change this so that surveys can be edited.
A work around, is to use similar naming on the various surveys and then set up the reports to include data from all reports that include . That said, the reporting is very limited and we now manually export the data every month to report from another platform, so we just stick the data externally. Lots of room for improvement.
