We also need to provide a complete manual in PDF format to our users and potential clients in tender process. Our previous knowledge bases all had this feature.
Love the idea. And also not because if we as a company update the articles and people are still using the saved/printed PDF. The user will be using outdated information.
When downloading/exporting to a PDF file there should be an automatic disclaimer at the top with something in the trend that downloaded PDF articles can be out of date because they are continuously updated. And that the most recent information is always available in the online knowledge base. And/or a timestamp when the user created the PDF.
I can already see the questions and situations preventing customers from doing something based on outdated information in a downloaded PDF.
We are trying to create a member/lead profile showing the history of the activity, emails, notes, etc. on an individual or company profile as a way of showing our lead process and to provide to members when needed or requested. The CSV files and other file types currently don't present this information in an easily digestible way nor a professional format to show others. A PDF of customer or company profiles would be really helpful.
In Brazil, for governments sections is need a documentation to buy some products and/or services, and usually this documentation is request in PDF format.
