Currently there is only an option to provide or remove access to Lists when setting permissions for a user or role. I think it makes sense to have settings similar to those for Workflows under CRM > CRM tools, where you can allow team members to view or edit workflows without giving them permission to delete them (as that allows them to delete ones created by others as well).
Ideally I would love to see these be even more granular, similar to the Object access under the CRM tab which allows you to further restrict permissions by Owned only. So for this use case, they would have the ability to create, edit and delete their own Lists, but not anybody else's.
It woul be great to have this ability for Sequences and Templates, too, which also only have a single on-off toggle.
I understand with the beta for List partitioning, we can accomplish something similar to this by restricting Lists to only a given team, but as far as I can tell it doesn't solve the problem of them being able to delete Lists created by others (and we aren't particularly concerned about our reps being able to see other Lists, we just don't want them to be able to edit them if they don't own them).
Would love to be able to set list permissions in the same way we can set report and dashboard permissions. Allow certain users or teams to edit, view only, etc.
We use lists for a lot of scoring rules and automations. If anyone with access to lists stumbled upon and edited or deleted those, it would really mess up our system. I want to be able to give list permissions to sales reps and marketing team members so they have additional filtering options for sequences and such, but giving them permission to cerate and edit lists is across the board. Not just limited to their own.
PLEASE take a look this feature. The solution in beta won't cut it!
