Errors should be more descriptive

I had the displeasure to get an error during the process of some workflows. The displeasure not of the error itself but the way it was displayed.

The errors in question were way too generic and did not solve anything or help me find what caused the issue.

It took me almost a day to open a support ticket and get a response just to find that the contacts involved in the workflow were not automatically addeed to marketing groups and therefore HubSpot refused to send the emails.

 

The error that we received when the workflow was activated?

"There was an issue sending an email to this contact." This ladies and gentlemen, is way too generic.

 

This seems to be an unfortunate usual recurrence in many errors provided by HubSpot when dealing with different processes. Too  much generic, zero explanation.

Please do not go the Microsoft way.
