End preview text without having to use HTML/CSS

Currently, the only way to prevent preview text from pulling in unwanted elements from an email (for example "View in Browser", header text etc.) is by using code. HubSpot really needs to have a feature that automatically cuts off preview text after the last word you enter in the "preview text" under Email Settings. Many other ESPs already have this feature built-in, such as Klaviyo, Campaigner, etc.

Hi team,

Commenting for a customer here.

Currently, when using drag and drop email editor - image alt text/ email content is also being pulled into the email preview for gmail.

Can we have a functionality that can stop preview text from showing please?

Thank you.

This would be very beneficial.

Yes, much needed! Preview texts easily get too messy and are therefore not efficient.

Yes - I would also love to see this feature. Support has told me this is a function of the Gmail email client, which is not true, because I use Gmail and I have email previews shown the way that is being requested here.

Anyone know of a work around? I see that this is possible through code. Would someone be willing to share how to code for this?

PLEASE PLEASE Hubspot take this suggestion seriously. Thank you!
