Currently, HubSpot does not support redirects on meetings.hubspot.com URLS. HubSpot will serve an error if a redirect is attempted, and support has confirmed that this is not currently supported.
There are many use cases in which a redirect would be useful:
- An employee leaves and their calendar should be redirected to another
- An employee's name changes
- The organization decides to move to a different calendar service
I can't currently think of any possible workaround for this, either, which is even more troubling.
In our case, we have hundreds of emails across dozens of sequences in Outreach that will all need to be changed by hand since the URLs cannot be redirected.
This is needed ASAP! We have many meeting links that were created as a workaround for tracking that we'd like to redirect to one meeting link. Also, we have the same problem with needing to redirect meeting links for separated employees.
It's super frustrating that our customers and prospects are still clicking old meeting links for former (terminated) employees, employees on extended leave, or folks who have moved to new teams.
The HubSpot Meeting Scheduler link owner should be able to temporarily redirect to their team round-robin scheduler or a colleague's scheduler while they are off work. Allowing users to redirect their meeting scheduler to a URL would take care of this.
Also, deleted meeting links should include a permanent redirect option. It's frustrating to reassign and keep these old meeting links. Also, I see a message that you can no longer reassign the default meeting link? Frustrating.
1/ let's consider the case of someone left the company and you still want to receive meetings
2/ you log in as this user in the user settings
3/ you change the connected agenda with the one you want now (you can even change the rules)
BOOM !
PS : you don't have the "log in as" feature, ask for a free trial of the version needed and do the change.
The case where the user change name is easy, just keep the old link because they are not connected to the name of the user.
The case where you change of provider, if you are not working with HubSpot anymore then your domain name is free of using your .htaccess and in this configuration you can do whatever redirection you want.
@Jim_from_Charik Hi Jim, this is a great idea except it appears you are not able to change the default user meeting link to another user. I tested adding my calender however I just get an error message to try again or contact via email. Additional meeting links allow you to Transfer Ownership to another user via the Actions button dropdown.
I found the workaround in that I cloned their default meeting. Set the new meeting as the default and then went back to the orginal and Transfered Ownership. Thanks again for the idea.
Totally agree, this is a super important needed feature, firstly when updating to a custom URL, it leaves a broken link in all previous emails with the hubspot meeting. Also, a great idea and point about when sales reps leave, it would be great to e able to sort this!
Our users are from various financial institutions and are not allowed to connect their calendars or financial emails. Having the ability to redirect a HubSpot scheduling link to their scheduling link would allow us better tracking and it would eliminate our need to clone every single template for every single new user.
This is definitely needed! I have two users that both conduct onboardings for our company, a round robin or group meeting does not work for this process. When one of them has no availability (out of office) we would like the option to re-direct them to the other users meeting link. If anyone has any advice on on a work around, would be appreciated!
Yup, this is totally ridiculous. It doesn't work even if it's your own domain AND even if the original URL no longer exists because the Meeting has been deleted.
Just came to say that I'm currently testing the URL Redirect link above in relation to the meetings tool. The proxy refuses to work properly and throws an error, but I can utilise a temporary redirect that goes to the meeting page, which is enough for what I'm looking to achieve 🙂 We'll have to manually rotate it every few weeks but I'd rather that then an out-of-hubspot solution!
Hey everyone, I think most of the solutions here are good enough to solve every cases. like my solutions (Aug 25, 202412:38 PM) with the add-on from @MJones118
