Enable "Set as marketing contact" in all type of workflows
Hi there,
I would love for the option to "set as a marketing contact" to be possible in all types of workflows (company, deal, ticket and so on).
Right now I can send marketing emails from a deal based workflow. However, I'm not able to ensure that the contacts associated to said deal is a marketing contact (Without having to do some odd workarounds).
I hope this is something that can be added quickly! 🙂
Just spoke with HubSpot support and there are no plans for fixing this issue at the moment. Please share this with your colleagues and or fellow HubSpot'ers so that we can highlight this issue.
I find it bizzarre that "Send email" is an option in non-contact workflows, and the option warns us that contacts must be Marketing Contacts to receive the email, and yet we can't actually do anything about it.
Would however be much easier of this could be an action in a deal-based workflow. Having the same issue right now as well. Updating Contact properties is possible, but not the marketing contact status. Should be possible
I'm 100% with this idea. It's currently a major shortcoming that a Contact can be sent an email from a deal workflow, but we can't ensure they're able to receive that email in the same workflow!
