Suggestion: Allow an email to send to more than one email subscription type. Current functionality restricts an email send to one email subscription type.
Use case: We have an announcement to make that is relevent to contacts with multiple subscription types. For example, "news" subscription type and "support" subscription type.
Pain point: The only workaround is to clone the email and send each email clone to each relevant subscription type. However, this causes many people who are subscribed to multiple types, to get duplicated emails. So we then have to make complicated exclusion lists for each cloned email. It's an unreliable and time-consuming workaround.
Agreed! It's crazy that this isn't already a feature since I'm sure many comapnies have this same issue. This could easily be solved by allowing users to select multiple subscription types. It would also be nice to be able to use a smart subject line for the different subscription types.
I'm wondering why not more guys have voted on this. It would save so much time for the guys creating and sending the e-mails. I cn understand that this might be due to privacy aspects but at the end of the day content is cross type often. Thanks for taking this into consideration Hubspot!
This is definately needed. We have subscription types that apply to different lines of business. But if we want to announce for instance, a financing promotion that could be applied to all the lines, we need to send it across multiple subscription types. This is disappointing.
Definitely needed! We are moving a large newsletter subscription process into HubSpot and this is a real blocker: while it's easy to clone, what happens when you have dozens of clones and the powers-that-be decide a change in formatting, etc., is needed? Lots of work, rather than a master that can be dynamically cloned rather than static clones that create clutter...
We definitely need this, and I do not understand that this is not already possible. We have exact the same issue as TWimmer mentioned above. Subscription types based on technology types and unable to send a general announcement or a multi technology type email without the hassle of managing everything manually with exclusion lists.
Given we cannot choose multiple subscription types when sending a marketing email we have people missing out on our content. Therefore, we are forced to now unwind the work we did to setup our multiple subscription types so we only have one subscription type. Quite the headache. It would be great to know the rationale for not allowing a marketing email to be sent to multiple subscription types.
