Edit property labels without changing options in every form

VeronikaB

When I edit a property in a form by adding a new option in the property settings, this new option appears in every form where the property is used.

The option is not appropriate in every form, so you have to manually find and fix every form with the edited property and change the option.

My suggestion is to be able to choose whether the newly created option is automatically added to each form with the property, or if you want to use it only selectively.

Would this functionality help anyone else, too?

Hello,

In legacy forms, adding a property to a dropdown and toggling it on in forms always toggled the value on in ALL forms, but in new forms the is not longer the functioninality and this is misleading. Based on the way the functionality that indicated "toggle on/off value in forms", it seems intuitive that it would be turning it on in ALL forms. Since it does not turn on in all forms, this requires our team to give form modification permissions to users who we do not want to have this permission.

To resolve this, I recommend the following solutions:

  • in the property editor, show which forms the property is used in, and allow users to toggle on/off in select forms directly from that window, and update the label (preferred solution)
  • return to the previous format where the property is toggled on in all forms

This is a very important feature for our team and is causing procedural breakdown and we would appreciate a resolution.
