It would be great if we can hide some of HubSpot's default section in the contact right sidebar within the Conversation Inbox (and possibly in contact records too)
Currently, we are not able to hide or remove the default sections such as deals and conversations. However, some customers find that very cluttered and confusing.
We "need" this feature?? This used to be a feature in Hubspot...and now we suddenly go to customize it further, and it's nowhere to be found. Now we're stuck with the customizations we've made until now, with no way to change them.
What a complete waste of time for every Hubspot user visiting this page. This used to be normal functionality in Hubspot to edit this view...and now it's suddenly gone?
Whatever product manager was involved in this decision should be removed. What a waste of time for everyone, for a completely pointless reason.
Estoy teniendo la misma necesitad. Necesito que desde la bandeja de entrada pueda modificar la tarjeta del contacto de la derecha. Me pregunto, ¿cómo llegan esos datos a esa tarjeta?
I found some ways to help the team here - Update Preview Cards (Settings > Contact or Company > Preview Customization > Update Preview Cards (link at the top of the screen) > Edit Contact Property List.
Still trying to see how I can hide other associations card on the right hand side, but this ^ link was a game changer.
Hello! My name is Hallie, and I'm an APM on the CXM team here at HubSpot. I wanted to share an update here because I was able to meet with a PM on our product team and inquire further about this feature.
At this time, hiding or removing sections of the sidebar in Conversations is not currently in planning. With that said, since this post has been shared, other customizations have been released in Conversations and Help Desk, such as the ability to update preview cards in the Conversations inbox and in Help Desk. While these don't address hiding sections in the sidebars, I still wanted to share them in case these other customization options are useful.
With that said, if this feature is particularly important to you, we recommend reaching out to your CSM and filing a Roadblock with them regarding this feature. That way, our product teams can keep track of the traction it gets and monitor continued interest. 🙂
Thank you for the response Hallie, although a bit disappointing. I have filed the roadblock with Ryan Wall our CSM. I am surprised that the decision is not to address, it is the only location in HS that has this unfortunate limitation. Forcing a business with aligned services / pipelines and inboxes into a single default view is a huge oversight.
Hi @TommasoSpagnoli! You should be able to adjust the properties in the 'about this contact' section so they show specific properties in the Conversations inbox. When you go to Settings > Objects > Contacts > Preview Customization and click 'Update preview cards,' there should be an option for 'edit contact association card' and 'edit contact property list' as seen here:
If you aren't seeing that happen, though, it would be worth reaching out to Support so they can troubleshoot with you in more depth!
Customized cards are created to allow different people within a company to view the information that's relevant to them when a contact engages your company. So this can happen everywhere except for the Inbox?
It would appear that the options are: A) cram every property from the customized cards into the default card and hope people can sort through it, or B) leave all of the customized fields and cards blank and deal with having no visibility and unused associated cards on the right.
With the recent focus on developing and revamping both the sales experience with the Sales Workspace and the support experience with Help Desk, I feel like it makes sense to have a long look at the Conversation Inbox next. The Convo Inbox is the first step in a huge range of customer interactions, so streamling the data capture at this stage can only mean improved data cleanliness for subsequent stages.
Specifically, I'd like to see the ability to customise the record cards in the convo inbox to make it easier to create leads and tickets.
