Easily locating properties within a workflow

MBarton00

Would love if there was a way we could locate the properties that exist within a workflow. The Property Settings are helpful as they tell you which workflows host the properties you're looking for, however once you get to the workflow, looking for the individual property can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Two ideas to solve:

- A dropdown under the "View" tab, with a search field that says "Find Property" and it lists all steps within the workflow the property lives within.

- A native version of Ctrl+F that lives within the workflow ecosystem.

I have several workflows with 500+ actions and need to update an action that assigns a contact owner because an employee has changed areas.

I've spent so much time looking at every single individual action in an attempt to locate the action that I need to update because there is no way to search within workflows.

Whether that is a native search or correct functionality of control+f, it is IMPERATIVE that HubSpot implement something to help users with this.

After reaching out to support, I was given no solution or "workaround" and was told, once again, to come to the Ideas Forum to post. I'm regularly reassured that the forum is monitored by "real people," but see posts like this that are several years old with no response or movement.

I now resort to visiting the Ideas Forum and compiling lists of posts and links that are requesting the same features, but never hear anything regarding these features actually being worked on or the issues addressed.

Unfortunately, I can't sit around waiting for three years until HubSpot decides that a feature that should have been included in their tool initially is worth their time to develop and until them, I am left with no solution for my problem.

Here are similar posts with the same requests:

+ 1 for this. We have an implementation workflow that is extremely deep. I've spent a handful of time looking to remove some old properties and continue to see it shown within property usage. It breaks my heart.

HubSpot please help!!!

This hasn't gotten nearly enough attention. To date, most of my workflows have stayed smaller and simpler, but I'm starting to get into workflows with 300-500+ actions. I need to review how a property is set and if it is set correctly across different branches and it's not feasible to scroll through to find a 1-5 actions that set that specific property.

Agreed! Need an ability to quickly locate the exact action step / branch the property is used in. The "used in" feature is good but solves 50% of the issue when dealing with changing properties in large workflows
