I frequently put together resources that I want to send out and make sure that our clients receive it. I also use sequences to send emails to our team internally so that I can track opens & engagement within the team.
I think it would be helpful to be able to turn off the 'automatic unenrollment' once someone replies, because I'd still like the contact to receive all subsequent communications.
Hi everyone! My name is Hallie, and I'm a Program Manager on the CXM team. This is now in public beta! You can opt into this in your account via this link. Please leave feedback for our product team here in this thread as you use the beta. Thank you!
I think it would be great to continue running a sequence even after a client replies. Right now after a client replies, they are automatically unenrolled from the assigned . I see how this can be beneficial, however, we should have the option to dictate when a sequence should stop.
There are certain sequence follow-ups that are solely for client retention follow-up and will have tasks and emails set far in advance.
We have a large book of business that often slips through the cracks and a way to mitigate lost contacts is through consistent follow-up.
The setting in the Automation section of sequences to unenroll contacts if they reply to an email is a far reaching setting. Especially when it can't be undone. If I have someone enrolled in a sequence for a free trial to receive daily tips & tricks, and they respond, "thank you for the info," they just un-enrolled themselves from the rest of the helpful sequence.
Why would Hubspot make this a universal "always on" type of setting?
At NightWare, we consistently want to create sequences that would continue even if a customer responds. Often we are asking sales contacts questions about our product or our support to drive our understanding of how we can support them better. Their responses are all unique.
Agreed. We use it to keep in contact with new members and they will more than likely respond with questions and then the rest of the planned content to explain features etc. moving forward they won't receive - which defeats the purpose of the sequence for our team.
Automated unenrollment from a sequence when a contact replies to an email or books a meeting is defeating the purpose of sequences in our workflow. It would be very beneificial if we could control the "trigger" inside HubsSpot on when a contact is unenrolled from a sequence, but those options are currently grayed out and we cannot uncheck the boxes.
This is ridiculous and needs to be enabled pronto. There's no reason not to have this as an adjustable setting other than to try to force an upsell. But all it really is doing is losing trust with your customer base.
There's an option, but it's unclickable. And I just spent a whole 30 minutes with a hubspot rep who basically just tried to sell me on upgrading so that I can get workflows and then use a workaround for it. 🙄 But it should be available simply with sequences as is.
If your sales rep has figured it out though and can share, please pass it along, I'd love to hear. It would save my sales assistant a bunch of tedious work and be really useful over the long haul as well.
This is super frustrating, sequences is a useless tool as it currently is. We should be able to turn off the automatic unenrollments if we want or turn it so that people are only unenrolled automatically if they specifically respond in the thread. We are a small school with a little budget, and were told we would be able to use sequences within service hub. This tool has created more work and cost us a lot of money and time to not work.
We were attempting to use sequences for our re-enrollment process. Obviously, lot of families today are not traditional 2 parent households. We classify a company within hubspot as a family unit and name it based off the child's last name. then we add the family members to that company as contacts. In our use case we had one parent automatically unrenrolled from the sequence becuase her ex-husband was emailing the school about something totally unrelated. She was enrolled in the sequence becuase she still has not signed her half of the contract for next school year.
That is a very specific instance, but we communicate with our parents all the time. Using a sequence is literally not an option for us unless we are constantly createing new sequences to enroll people in when they inevitably drop off. The other option is of course to pay even more money to get marketing hub. Super frustrating.
I want to send our clients a sequence that I want to continue even as we have other unrelated email conversation with them. We need them to respond to the specific request in the sequence and book a particular type of meeting, then the sequence can stop.
HubSpot is SO restrictive that it's really only useful to reach out to cold contacts with the only goal of getting a response. It can be so much more useful if there were more options for a multitude of tasks.
Yes please! Is there a workaround this? We need it as soon as possible. I'm looking for a way to build an ongoing scheduled cadence of communication with tasks associated but i don't want to unenroll anoyone.
