Disable Automatic Unenrollment in Sequences

I frequently put together resources that I want to send out and make sure that our clients receive it. I also use sequences to send emails to our team internally so that I can track opens & engagement within the team. 

I think it would be helpful to be able to turn off the 'automatic unenrollment' once someone replies, because I'd still like the contact to receive all subsequent communications.

This would be very helpful.  I have experienced this, and have been previously unaware when contacts had been unenrolled for a sequence.

This is very needed! Please build it. 

 

We are launching 12 sequences for a complex A/B test, and I want to ensure that the meetings booked get associated with the correct sequence. But whenever someone replies to a sequence, it unenrolls them. We will always book a meeting after the person replies, so the meeting booked % is a useless metric.

That's the same for answering Emails. If someone answers an email doesn't mean that he/she brought in the information which is needed.

This would solve a HUGE problem for us when account mangers use this with clients.  I get it with prospects, but we want to drive certain communication with clients and if they respond to another communication, not the intended communication, it kicks them out. 

Just default to turned on, but let US control it and turn it off - simple as that !

I 100% agree and am having the same problem! Would love to be able to undo this trigger setting.

Yes! Please allow us to disable automatic unenrollment!  We use this to automatically trigger emails task to keep our customers informed of lead times on backorders.  It might not be exactly what it's designed for but with backorders taking over 24 weeks we need the help.  When the customers reply "thanks for the update" they automatically unenroll.  If you have a better way of doing this, I am all ears.

Yes having this trigger enforced for all sequences limits so many use cases.  Removing it would be a great idea.

I 100% agree that having the option to disable automatic unenrollment in sequences would be a really useful feature, I.e. for certain educational or onboarding sequences.

Agree this should be configurable and ironically is shown on the settings screen as though you could click on it but HS in its infinite wisdom feels it must protect us from ourselves as it does with a lot of features.  But we have onboarding sequences for new customers that even if they reply with a question or have a meeting booked related to their onboarding process, we still want them to get onboarding emails designed to help educate them on all of the features of our solution over time.

 

The workaround support suggests of using a workflow and marketing emails isn't a good solution becuase:

 

1. Marketing emails are more likely to go into promotional inboxes or spam vs. sales emails that are sent from the user's email.

2. Marketing emails don't look legitimately personalized nor is there a way to personalize each send, both of which you can achieve with sales emails sent from a sequence.

Yes!  Please allow HubSpot clients to toggle the enrollment triggers on and off.  Let us decide that those triggers should be connected to audiance and communiation intention!

I 100% agree, for a fixed sequence that requires some other condition to be met, it renders the sequence useless.

100%, unrolling loses all personalisation. Should be able to toggle off.

This is definitely a need for us. We want to use Sequences when we beta-test new features and ask for user feedback. However, because we ask users to reply, it unenrolls them, rendering the rest of our sequence useless. The toggle switches are there. We should be able to manage them ourselves, depending on the purpose of each sequence. Just hand over the power! Lol! 😁
