I frequently put together resources that I want to send out and make sure that our clients receive it. I also use sequences to send emails to our team internally so that I can track opens & engagement within the team.
I think it would be helpful to be able to turn off the 'automatic unenrollment' once someone replies, because I'd still like the contact to receive all subsequent communications.
We will have an update soon! There was a recent interview with the Product Manager of sequences on the HubSpot blog and I have asked if we can use the toggle. Fingers crossed I get an update next week. If I do, I'll update here too!
One of the sequences we'd like to set up is intended to be used by our sales reps through the lead and deal stages - not for marketing purposes. A personalized, continuous sequence, like Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers, would make for a more seamless experience for our sales reps. We do not want the contact to be unenrolled from our sales sequence simply because they replied to an email or booked a meeting.
We have sequences where contacts often reply without completing the desired action — for example, acknowledging receipt, asking a clarifying question, or triggering an automatic out-of-office reply. As a result, these contacts are automatically unenrolled too early, before the follow-up process is complete.
HubSpot - this has been open for three years and has 118 comments. Clearly, your users need this functionality. Simply replying to an email saying "working on it" should not unenroll someone from a sequence when the "it" hasn't actually been done. What is the escalation procedure for ideas? Thank you!
