Often times we enter fake data into our own form to test workflows or we get spammed with fake accounts. I'd like the ability to delete form submissions so they don't impact the metrics.
I am the PM for the Form Submissions product area. I am excited to inform that we have started to work on this request. I will keep this thread updated once we have delivered this feature. Thank you all for your patience.
Thank you all for taking the time to submit, upvote, and comment on this Idea. We hear you loud and clear, and we agree that this functionality is important. We are currently exploring the possible ways to solve this problem.
Any news about this feature request will be relayed on this thread, so please stay tuned!
My name is Tom I'm on the forms team within HubSpot.
At the moment we don't have plans to allow the deletion of form submissions as this would negatively effect reporting and analytics within the forms tool.
Allowing test submissions is something we've been discussing and we may address submission deletion or test submissions within the future, but for the moment we do not have plans to introduce this functionality within the near future.

We have been getting more and more spam/fake submissions on forms that are very critical to our processes. And that's only one reason we need this feature. There are so many different reasons and scenarios that could be solved with the ability to delete submissions without having to delete an entire contact record.
When launching one of our newer HubSpot accounts, we accidentally integrated several FB accounts from other companies. We quickly fixed this mistake, but it did not prevent FB lead forms from importing into the new portal. Now, this client's portal has the choice to use a form from a VW shop, an outdoor retailer, and a personal injury attorney. There has to be a way to have this historical information deleted, right?

This also would be of value to us. We have a lot of testing to do on forms that we are using to notify our external partners as well. Want to have clean analytics. Thanks.
This issue really messes up the reporting for our business as well, as of now I need to manually log these KPIs before sharing with the board or collegues. E.g. if the team would like to see data on an eBook download, I need to update an excel sheet based on latest downloads before sharing instead of just taking a screenshot in HS. Aditionally, spam is becoming a larger issue for all of us I belive, so would be great to have the option to bulk delete spam-submissions.
Also, GDPR requires the ability to deleta data so not sure how this could be compliant either?
Clearly there is a need for this and I can´t possibly understand that its a big task to implement as you have the basics in place with deleting contacts.
This functionality is very important to us for data protection reasons and we should be able to delete PDFs that have been submitted in forms, for example.
bumping up, this is a very basic feature that would make a lot of difference as we have lots of junk data in our reporting because of that. Please implement this. Thanks
Agreed - this needs to be a feature! We would love to be able to remove/delete test submissions. Before sending a campaign we want to ensure the forms are working correctly before we push our campaigns out and this is the only way to do so.
Agree with this post and we need this functionality as well. In addition to test, we have people who complete a form and submit however they do not complete the payment process. We do not want to include them unless they have done both. We need the ability to remove someone from the list, without deleting their complete contact record. Thank you.
Of course users need to test forms before putting them live to customers. And remove those who ask to be, or whose submission is no longer relevant. It's crazy people are even having to ask for this functionality, let alone so many people, for so long.
