I would like to add a default "sort" to a column of my custom report (chart-type: table).
That way, I wouldn't need to sort data each time I see the report on my dashboard.
If we could sort the data in the Visualization tab of the report editor... and that sort would be the default sort to be applied when you see the report in your dashboard... that would be an intuitive way to do it.
We currently can NOT sort when creating a custm report across MULTI DATA Sets. For example when we want to see Won deals and the Products for the deal it does NOT alow sorting so we cannot see the most recent deal closed. This works fine for Single reports but NOT for Multi Reports.
I am having a similar problem - I think. I have 4 main products (our service lines) that we report and they are sorted randomly in various reports, whether than being in the same (alpha) order. It's very frustrating and makes it more difficult to compare period over period reports.
Yes this would be great and pretty basic functionality really for a report!
Reports and dashboards are crucial to our business and how our internal teams operate
They need to see reports in a certain order (often sorted by a date column) and this isnt possbile at the moment without reordering the report after every screen refresh
I agree that this would be a very valuable addition to our Reporting tool- this extra customisation in dashboards would allow our users to get even more value from this tool with the ability to display the information on their reports in the way that suits their business' needs. Hoping to see this implemented on our future product roadmap.

I am surprised this is not already there. For example on the Deals Summary table, it sorts by last modified when what makes the most sense is the expected close date. Management doesn't care when it was modified. We care about when we can start booking the revenue. That's the close date. Not being able to have this basic functionality seems to be a big miss.
