When creating a dealbased workflow you can also send emails to the associated contacts of the deal. Those marketing emails are only added to the associated contacts activity timeline, not in the deal's timeline. Unless you tick the box that you want to add all the contacts activity to the deal, when creating it. In many cases, that makes absolute sense. In our case, there are deals for a specific product. I wouldn't want to see all the contact's activity and emails that have been sent, as it's totally not relevant for this deal. So I didn't tick this box that it should all be synchronized.
However, in dealbased workflows you send those contacts specific emails that are connected to this specific deal. It would be very helpful if those emails appear in the deal's activity timeline, so you can easily see what emails have been sent connected to this deal (and not all the other (general marketing) emails to this contact that have nothing to do with this specific deal).
In short my idea: when a deal enrolls in a dealbased workflow and an email is sent to the associated contact, this email activity should be added to timeline of the specific deal that was enrolled in this workflow.
