Hubspot development team, please take a close look at this, adding the ability to filter default object stages for tags (deals, contacts, etc), and eventually filtering custom object stages for tags once they become available, adds an entirely new use case for tags. Adding the ability to use object stages to filter tags allows us to provide stage-specific tags within any deal or other object stage that seamlessly disappears upon moving the object card to a different stage. This can act as a quick action item or to-do item that appears on the deal card without having to manage these action items using the tasks feature. Providing users the ability to live inside their pipeline view without having to toggle between multiple screens to accomplish a task is very powerful.
This is much needed. I discovered deal tags recently and have not been able to implement our use cases because of the lack of deal stage filtering for each tag. Not every stage is relevant to whatever tag we want to use. It seems odd that nearly all other deal properties are available and the 'closed = true/false is not granular enough.
We have some great tags in there already, but about 50% of the tags we wanted to add depend on the deal stage and would be so helpful if this was a filter option.
100%! Please prioritize this feature. An explosion of use cases are enabled by the simple ability to utilize "deal stage" in tag creation. PLEASE notify me when this is added. Thanks! 😃
For those still interested in using deal stage in tags here is a work around: 1 - create a custom field 2 - set a WF to copy the current deal stage value to this new custom field 3 - then filter on this field in your tag.
Yes! We need this ASAP. I have a tag that marks a Deal as "Overdue" if it is past the Close Date. This is great except it is marking ALL deals, including those Closed Lost. Please fix!!!
Please implement this asap! Having a preset filter for stale deals without limiting that to open stages seems very broken. Now I have deals in closed won that are showing up as stale because the preset filter doesn't account for open deal stages or let me even select my own stages that this applies to.
Sure, I could create a property to attach the deal tag to and a workflow to turn that off and on, but this really should be something that we can filter during tag creation.
This is so important, please implement this ASAP, it will help minimize some problems that the service hub currently has in regard to moving new replies to a specific status on highly complex pipelines.
I used this from the post above and it worked. Just make sure the workflow uses the deal stage value instead of the name. That part was slightly confusing.

Thanks MBesse but it's slightly mad we have to clutter up our fields to workaround this.
e.g. I want deals to be tagged as 'Golding cold' after different # of days, depending on deal stage. Chasing down a deal that near close is way more urgent than one that's earlier stage
Why are all other fields available, but not this crucial one?
