Database Backups

Last week we experienced a situation where our data become duplicated and thereby corrupt.  Hubspot had to issue a fix, however our data remains comprimised.

 

We need an automated backup process so in the future we are able to recover the information that was missing.

@faithantion Miro also does not have an automated backup solution ... in the last two years a couple of 3rd parties have cobbled together something resembling automated backup, and you can back up each file manually in Miro (though if it is big, you have to break it into pieces to back up and you have to get Miro Support involved to restore).  So, unfortunately, this is kinda becoming common

Having this capability is a critical issue for us. In addition to our company operations relying on this database for accuracy, our company policy requires us to have some kind of backup and disaster recovery plan.  When does Hubspot expect to rollout a solution to this?

That's great to hear your team is working on this.

I signed up for SysCloud. All of their functionality matched our needs.

We need to be able to restore detail in a contact/company/deal/ticket records. In SysCloud, I'm able to go back and select the calendar data and even the specific e.g. ticket I want to restore.

If we have a staff member accidentally change information, we need to be able to restore a record or field. In Hubspot currently, you can view who changed a field but you're unable to view what the field previously read to change it back.

We sometimes receive PII from our customers by accident. We need to be able to completely delete the PII from our system, which requires restoring certain objects and associations from a prior day, or even week, depending on how long we've had the PII in our possession. We use the conversation inbox to have tickets auto created and then close the conversation. Currently, as I understand it, if we had to remove PII, we have to delete the conversation, which I believe means we also delete the entire ticket history.

Additionally, as part of a disaster recovery plan, we are needed to have the ability to back-up our data if we were breached by a bad actor or had an insider threat incident.
