This is crucial to what I'm trying to set up in HubSpot right now. I'm surprised that editing task types is not an option - seems like an easy fix. Please, HubSpot, make this happen!
Commenting to drive some urgency on this one - lots of my business is done via text to customers. An option that allows me to create a task type as "text" would be huge for my team to effectively manage their tasks. Or just the ability to create custom dropdown options in the admin settings? Please make this update ASAP!!
Brand new to Hubspot and was flabergasted that this is not already an option in the system. SMS just at a minimal is detrimental to our business process to be able to track our teams various scheduled items. Our business model with customers is very 1 to 1 so scheduling these specific task and the types is very important for goals and measurements on what's coming up for our teams.
Yes, this would be fabulous, things like art, marketing, etc to go along with the new projects. Also adding custom properties so we can maximize the use of tasks. For example - if I have a task on a project, I want to associate that task to the same company the project is associated with.
in general expanding out the configuration of tasks/activities like other objects would strengthen the system.
