Customize the Billing Frequency options when creating a new product
Some customers have alternative billing situations for their products that do not fit within our current billing frequency options below. It would be nice if they had the option to create other intervals. One customer needs a five year option for example and has to find a workaround.
Hey, we often have deals that are cotermed to a date established in a parent agreement.
For example, we might have an agreement with a customer's parent entity that any of its child entities have annual agreements cotermed to the closest January 1. Under the current line items UI, we can't set up a prorated initial term with a billing frequency that is longer than the size of the initial term. For example, if a client onboarded on 10/1/22, is to be billed annually, and their agreement is cotermed to the next Jan 1 (1/1/23), then I'd expect a product with a unit monthly price of $100 to have:
A start date of 10/1/22 (and we'd bill through 12/31/22 on their first bill)
A term of 3 months
A billing frequency of Annually
MRR of $100
ARR of $300
Instead, since our term is less than the length in months of the billing frequency, we can't save the initial prorated term.
Today, we can use a billing frequency of "One-time", but that then means the revenue isn't treated as if it's recurring revenue, and no MRR or ARR is calculated. We'd really like to have more flexibility on this.
Yes we definitely need the option to change the recurring billiing frequency and Unit Prices below $0.01. We are a telecom that offers business SMS and MMS and the prices are under a penny and we need a recurring billing frequency of Per Message.
Yes. Just come across this as was on Hubspot live chat asking the same question. We wish to quote for "every 4 years". This is likely to be more in many circumstances. Being able to customise would solve an issue and keep our approach consisitant. For the meantime we will have to mess with quantaties. Make it so please!
Is there any news on hourly/daily/weekly billing frequencies please? We have a number of frustrated clients in the service sector who are desperate for this.
We are a SaaS company that sells multi-year subscriptions. We need 4, 5, and 6 year options. Another year has passed with no progress reported on this and no timeline for resolution.
This would be huge if it could be updated. We want to be able to create Quotes in Hubspot, then use the Quickbooks integration, but we can't create quotes when the line items are too inflexible to match a 6 month contract. The MRR gets totally thrown off working within the current structure which renders the entire functionality, including the Quickbooks integration more or less useless.
This should compute to an MRR of $100. It is a 6 month contract at $100 a month. I realize I can use Semi-annually, but what if you need to do 5 months?
Right now, we have to have our team make quotes and invoices in Quickbooks.
Hey Hubspot Dev ! We just need Weekly and Fortgnightly guys, I think it's a small lift that you can include this in your road map for quick wins. You'll solve most of people's comment by just creating the weekly
I am very disspointed in Hubspot for dragging this out so long. It can't be that much programming for these modificaitons. We need a simple weekly, bi weekly, monthy, quarterly and annual frequency set up. This is not rocket science. Please pardon me if this is already available as I have not seen any news of an update on this.
I look forward to this option as well! The only hold up I can see is how this may impact other calculations like ARR and MRR calculation tools. If they even exist :-). This will greatly simplify some of our processes.
I originated this request many years ago. I have left Hubspot. It seems ridiculous that the basis of the system is based on efficiency and yet they neglect such a simple change and after so many have requested.
The biggest barrier in Hubspot for us is the inability to use the quoting feature. All of our sales and business development happens in Hubspot, but we are unable to use quotes at all because we are a service-based business that bills our time and talent on an hourly basis.
It would be a huge improvement to have other frequencies listed. Especially because you can select service as a product type, but not a frequency that is so common in service-based businesses.
Une fois de plus, HUBSPOT décoit dans leur logique de produit ! Je paye 1500€ / Mois pour faire des workflow, des sequences, du paramétrages, des ajouts de produits...BREF, j'en suis presque satisfait, mais lorsqu'on apprends que ne peut pas ajouter une fréquence sur la création d'un produit, je suis vraiment deçu !
Mes clients me payent des abonnements sur 1, 2, 3 ou 4 ans...IMPOSSIBLE de paramétrer un produit avec une fréquence de facturation "Tous les 4 ans". C'est vraiment byzarre que Hubspot ne laisse pas à ses clients la possibilité de choisir la fréquence de facturation libre (par mois, par semaine, par année, tous les 4 ans, tous les 5 ans...).
Bref, je suis une fois de plus deçu de cette limitation qui a un impact important dans mon business et qui me bloque complètement ! Les premières demandent datent de 2020, nous sommes en 2023...je n'ai pas l'impression que cette demande soit prise au sérieux par les développeurs Hubspot, les producteurs owners et toute l'équipe produit !
