Customize default country code for phone numbers

when a contact is added to Hubspot the telephone prefix is set to default to the US. I am in the UK and having to re set it for every contact is tiresome. why not have this as one of the choises in setting?

Hi it´s been a long time and it seems an answer never was found, I`m facing same here we use custom form and  our clients are only from Mexico I would like set by default +52 but I didnt found yet anything for doing something like this, Are there works around?

We are in multiple countries and really need something to fix this.

For what we pay for HubSpot is it really going to take a decade to just add a very basic time saving feature like setting the default country code to the country we're actually operating from? Or do you guys really get your jollies by getting us to see U.S. as the default country code every time we have to add a phone number?

Why has this simple setting been taking so long to implement? It takes so long to change the country code everytime we enter in a new phone number.

This information popped up. Maybe a decent workaround for some:

 

  1. Apply Formatting to the Phone Number:

    • Unfortunately, HubSpot’s form fields do not directly support input formatting (like adding dashes). However, you can use an integration like Zapier to format the phone number after submission.
    • Set up a Zapier workflow:
      • Trigger: New contact in HubSpot.
      • Action: Format text (Zapier provides a formatter tool).
      • Use a custom JavaScript code snippet to add dashes to the phone number.
      • Update the contact record in HubSpot with the formatted phone number.

I can't even test by changing the language in my Profile, as Switzerland is not even listed in the options...

An option is creating a workflow:

1. Enrollment trigger = Phone number is known

2. Insert a Branch to filter the numbers with country code:

3. In the "no CC" branch, numbers without country code, add a Format data:

4. Create a Custom formula, the formula is concat

And finally run the Workflow!! Don't forget to apply this to all contacts.

There is a solution for the persons who needs the same country code for all contacts:

1. Trigger = Phone number is Known

2. In a branch filter the numbers with Country Code:

3. For "No CC", numbers without country Code add a Format data option:

4. In the Format data create a Custom formula, use Concat.

 

concat("+1", Add property )

And finally run the Workflow, is done!! I hope this is helpful

Please can you get a default country code option sorted. In the UK and it just defaults to US.

 

For me it's about user experience when they are filling out a Hubspot form. All our customers are in the UK.

 

Therefore it does not matter if we can set up a workflow in the back end, the user is still going to have to scroll the entire list of country codes to get to the UK , which is a barrier to them filling out a form - therefor a barrier to getting leads for our business.

 

Can just be added as a "Default Country Code" within the Phone Number field for both Company and Contact level. Please!

Totally agree, we are in Canada - this needs to be a changeable default setting to the country that companies are operating in!
