Customise unsubscribe link text in sales emails

Hi team,

Suggesting the following idea for more optimal unsubscription messages when we include an unsubscribe link below the email signature. Currently we have 3 options:

  1. Is this email not relevant to you? Click here
  2. To stop receiving these emails, click here
  3. Prefer fewer emails from me? Click here

These three options all have 'negative' tones that the emails are unsollicited however for GDPR compliant users which are emailing contacts expecting communications from them, more options or the ability to customise those options would be great.

It would be great to be able to customize the wording for the unsubscribe link that users of Sales Hub are able to add under General > Email. Right now it allows you to choose between three options only.

Thanks for this, @AntoninCrestois - it would be great to have more options, like "Update your email preferences" or "Edit your subscription settings". This regards both marketing emails and sales emails (one-to-one).

We want to be able to change the text before the unsubscribe link. For instance to something like: "Want to stop receiving our news content/marketing mails?" Hubspot doesn't allow this at the moment.

In our efforts to improve GDPR, we want to use the unsubscribe link in the mails that our sales reps are sending to customers.

The text before the link is specifically made for marketing though, and implies whether the customer wants to unsubscribe from the type of mails in which the link is. And they obviously aren't unsubscribing from sales mails. So it can cause confusion because we include the link in mails from sales reps. Therefore we want to be able to change the text before the unsubscribe link, for instance to something like: "Want to stop receiving our news content/marketing mails?"

Agree with both on the above this would be a useful change, along with ability to change the font as currently only option is Calibri.

Hello,

Well you can still do with a trick. You need to play with Footer section.

Agreed that more neutral wording options are needed.

Please can we also have the option to edit the font and link colour for these messages so they match our company branding.

This would be incredibly useful becuase it gives users the chance to manage their preferences rather than unsubscribe from everything all at once. Would LOVE to see the ability to communicate that to users, providing them a better web expierence

This is required. We are using the Sales Hub and need to add a simple "unsubscribe" link, not a pre-defined sentence that cannot be configured or styled as part of a user's custom signature.

Sadly the first reply to this idea is dated: Oct 14, 2021, 4:34 PM. This suggests this important feature is not receiving any prioritization. can HubSpot comment on how this can be prioritized, please?

Upvoting. This is important and needs to be addressed.

We also need to be able to change the font of the unsubscribe text so that it matches the font we use in our emails, and the colour of the link.

This is all basic branding and should already be available by default in HubSpot.

"Click Here" is a horrible design to unsubscribe and in general. We are sending sequences from our own domain via Gmail or Microsoft. The Click here redirects the user to another site "HubSpot" without notifying the user in adavance that they will be tranfered to another site, this alone is in bad form. To boot the correct and globally recocgnized term is "unsubscribe". I guess you are expecting the bots to look in the underlying url for the correct term. Why 🤔

We're currently sending sales email chains via sequences. We send them in 3 different languages.

I've noticed that it's possible to customize the Unsubscribe Link (content and language) when you manually send an email, but it's impossible to do it when you send that email with a sequence.

I want to be able to customize or at least choose the language when I'm setting up the sequence or even select it when you setup the email template.
