Even having the ability to see related properties (associated company properties) from Task list view will be helpful. Such as MRR so that reps can sort tasks based on MRR impact. Alternatively, if were able to conditionally prioritze all tasks based on custom parameters, this would be helpful.
are there any updates on this? My goals to be able to create custom views using the task filters. If I can configure Task view based on custom properties I can filter the tasks and start the pool of tasks that I am wanting to complete at a certain time.
Does anyone else have any creative ways of creating custom views of tasks so I can complete certain pools of tasks when I would like to?
@KBZimmerman I've created "Queues" for my clients, based on different categories of Task e.g. Business Development, Live Project, Finance etc. Then I create custom list Views based on the Queue and the Task being 'open'. If you don't have too many values, this can work well. I typically create between 5 - 12 Queues depending on the use case. You can make the Queue public or assign specific users to the Queue if you're sharing responsibility for Tasks.
This request with 321 upvotes is now almost 4 years old to the day with comments as recent as a month ago....I have simply asked that they add a "city" field to the task column options.

I would love to make more extensive use of Tasks with my clients. We would like to add a couple of simple properties like Task effort (in time) and a more extensive list of Task types etc - as a very 'light' project management tool. It doesn't seem like this should be a very difficult thing to do, since other CRMs (like Salesforce) allow you to add custom propertes to Activities 😄 Happy to provide lots of high-value use cases to the Product Manager for Tasks!
Would love to see Tasks displayed on a Gantt chart too ... but custom properties would be a great start!

Would like custom properties for Tasks to set expected task duration for capacity planning / managing team workload when it is assigned via Tasks as part of a Deal
