I know that Hubspot is not currently supporting this functionality, but it will help a lot to manually start a ticket from incoming email (not via workflow, but via Gmail extension) or from Slack, similarly to what you have for creating a new 'Task'.
Agreed, this would be very helpful from within Outlook and the Hubspot Add-in. There is no easy and consistent way to do this via conversations, as it tends to associate new emails to old/closed tickets.
This feature will help so much with adoption. My service team lives in their email inboxes, and switching between apps just to start a ticket is going to be their top complaint!
After two years of no action with over 90 votes for this idea, I don't suppose it's going to see any movement any time soon, if at all - but this idea is one we'd also like to see implemented.
We can create tasks using the Gmail plugin, and view tickets, but not create tickets? This really deflates the usefulness of Service Hub for us, as our Client Success Team works primarily out of their email inbox, and it's a hassle to have to hop back over into Hubspot to create a ticket, when they should be able to simply do it via the plugin.
This would be such helpful functionality! We had this with our previous Salesforce Extension, and feel like we are missing this feature now. I hope it gets into the development plan soon.
I'm guessing there's a reason why this hasn't been added? Seems really odd that we can't create a ticket from the place that support requests go to. Please make our lives easier Hubspot 🙂
Totally worthwhile the investment to develop this kind of functionality- We use HubSpot for sales and marketing. IT uses another software that has this capability... We would need to be able to choose the ticket pipeline, assign the ticket owner, and attach the email as a note at a minimum. If there was a way to surface ticket properties like the extension does with contact properties even better!
I agree. It would be ideal to be able to use the Sales Extensions that integrate within Outlook to create a ticket from within Outlook, rather than having to forward them in.
It would also be ideal to be able to customize what is available in the extension per team.
I understand the Outlook (desktop) client is getting deprecated anyway, so that's a bad sign for anyone who thinks they want more functionality in a client.
