Create folders within 'attachments' section to easier manage documentation.

I am wondering if there is a way to upload the 'attachments' on a contacts page to be in folders instead of just uploading into a bit of an unorganised mess.

If that makes sense. For example with recruitment purposes, if we could create a 'Compliance' folder within EACH contacts page in the attachments section where I could upload any right to work documentation, passport details, etc etc & then another such as a 'Contract' folder that we could keep all contractual documentation, your employee signed contracts, employee details & bank details and so on, together in an easy to find location without having to root through all uploads.

I believe the attachment section could still automatically uplaod everything but then ideally i would like to be able to file these documents into easy access locations.

Apologies about access challeneges! I just updated permissions to the google form. Let me know if you are still unable to access the Google Form.

Hello! Thank you to everyone that volunteered to participate in the Attachments Beta. We have now enabled the new attachments functionality for all those that expressed an interest. With this Beta, we give users a robust file management system on records. You can now:

  • Bubble up the files you care most about by sorting, searching and filtering your attachments.
  • Rename your attachments and take bulk file actions such as download and delete.
  • View a lot of the file metadata that was previously unavailable to you such as upload date, source and file type.

We look forward to getting your feedback via a Customer Satisfaction survey that will pop up when you interact with the new attachments card. As always, we love customer feedback and use that to inform future product direction so please keep that feedback coming!

Hello! Thank you to everyone who shared feedback and volunteered to participate in the Attachments Beta. Updating the status of this idea to "Delivered" as we already introduced the new attachments functionality in April 2024. You can now:

  • Bubble up the files you care most about by sorting, searching and filtering your attachments.
  • Rename your attachments and take bulk file actions such as download and delete.
  • View a lot of the file metadata that was previously unavailable to you such as upload date, source and file type.

As always, we love customer feedback and use that to inform future product direction so please keep that feedback coming! I recommend spinning up a new ideas forum thread for any newer ideas for easier trackability.

It still doesn't address my request. You should be able to create folders and organize the attachments for a contact. It's just a big jumbled mess now with only filters for type and source. I like the search box, but still doesn't organize the attachments like other common file storage options.

What's been delivered does not address the original request or my needs. The original request asks for the ability to organize or tag attachments based on category (e.g., contract, compliance). Without manually renaming every pertinent file to include keywords like "Contract" or "Compliance," it is not possible to see all attachments by category with the current implementation. I've signed up for user interviews for this feature to discuss my needs but never received a response. Very disappointed to see something completely different delivered that does not meet specified user needs.

The deleivered solution does not address the actual request. Why is hubspot lacking in this feature. So silly.

The improvements to the attachments are helpful, but I've added an upvote to the original request. It would be a big improvement if you could organized attachments via files.
