Create a new company or a contact while creating a new deal. Hubspot Tech Chat support confirmed that this feature (mostly standard in MS CRM/Salesforce and other CRM) doesn't exist in Hubspot and asked to post here for Hubspot product team to consider.
Not sure why this is not an option, this is a major barrier to having a quality contact database. The need is simple, people have a lead or deal they wish to add based on a new non-marketing contact that they have developed through their business development activity. The process as it is now requires that they add the contact through contacts and then companies, before they can add the deal associated with the person. What should happen-
1. Create new deal
2. Complete the information
3. Contact-> existing contact or add new
4. Add new contact pop out menu
5. Add new company pop out menu
6. Complete deal.
What happens currently is that reps will unwittingly add the company they are associating with the deal (if they are in the database) and simply choose any associated contact to avoid the hassle of navigating to contacts/companies first.
