LinkedIn posts for example are negatively affected if you include a non-native link in the original post. So a best practice for greater reach and engagement is to create a post without any links. Then add a comment immediately with the link to your content.
This is not possible today in Hubspot. You'd have to manually set some kind of calendar entry for a post and then manually enter the comment when the post is published. (Ugh.)
BTW, this is something most social media platforms have already - like Sprinkr, Hootsuite, etc.
Agreed. Scheduling the posts in advance and then remembering to go back and add a comment is time-consuming and resource heavy. Has this been given consideration/introduced yet?
This would be beneficial for all platforms as most favor native content and as such links in original posts are unfavored. Problem is we can rely on timing each post and manually adding links in comments. It's not an effective time management strategy. I also agree with Hashtag bank!
Thank you for your thoughts here. Merging this idea with a similar one so that we can get an accurate count! All votes will be merged with the existing idea.
I agree. We hope we can use this feature since LinkedIn punishes posts that have outbound links. Would be great if we can attach outbound link as the first comment
This is needed ASAP. Fighting the LinkedIn Algorithm is hard enough - adding a link in a post doesn't help us at all! We need a way to automate the process of adding the first comment (because relying on someone to input the comment on pre-scheduled posts defeats the purpose of this automated social posting feature) @hubspot Is this in the works? Hootsuite and sprout social etc.
Also let's add a hashtag Bank in HubSpot on the social platform interface so we can store all our hastags there for easy copy and pasting!
This is a great way to efficienly use Hubspot and LI, hopefully this will be added to Hubspot features and we can expand the use of socials here in Hubspot.
@hubspot@Leeyman What is the status on this? As a marketing team of ONE, I don't have time to go back and add a first comment. I've been using Hubspot to manage LinkedIn for MONTHS and I'm getting zero engagements.
Please please is there at least a workaround? A suggestion beyond "Manually set a reminder to tell yourself to add a comment to this post?"
