Create Date Property Filter For Month, No Year

It would be helpful if there was a Create Date Property Filter that allowed us to select a specific month without having to select a year. It would be helpful in cases of reporting, workflows for always-on campagns, or regular CRM Hygiene to have filters contingent upon a certain month each year. Two specific use cases where this filter is needed hich would allow us to:

  1. Create workflows and reports based around the number of deals created/contacts created/companies created/marketing events that occur, etc. during a specific month each year.
  2. Create workflows for deal naming conventions (ie: Update Deal Property: Deal Name > Company Name&" "&Month&" "&Year)

Right now, the current date filters prevent the ability to isolate a single month each year. You can choose the between date filter but that only allows you to choose the start and end dates within a specific year. We could select the month only or select between dates of Jan 1 - Jan 31, and then have the option to select a year or not.

lots of time i am wondering if leaving QA here for HS help is a waste of time

no matter the need here could be solved easily or not by HS
you may take years to get the result
life is short , business fight for survival every moment

if you see the QA here and without HS Official reply

just move on to find another solution without HS would be best way

Cus your problem here cant be solved  🙂

I was having a similar issue of trying to isolate months of the year from a date picker property and found a bit of a workaround that may be helpful...

Using a workflow and the 'Format data' action you can convert your date format to a string instead (see here for different format options), a value that can then be copied into a different property. As the new property is a text property, the filters will now have 'contains' as an option so you can just write in your chosen month to filter by.

Hope this helps 🙂

@ALumsden This is a great solution, thank you! Here's a similar setup I created that allows us to incorporate a text string such as "Sep 2023" into our automated deal naming conventions, and have it pull directly from the date selcted for the Close Date.
