Convert legacy form to new form editor

Lilleengen

It should be possible to convert a form made in the legacy editor to the new editor, so you avoid the hassle of creating a new one and switching out all the places it's used.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to submit, vote, and share your thoughts on this idea.

My name is Jenny, and I'm the new Product Manager for the Forms & CTAs tool.

This migration work has been explored before, and since joining the team I’ve been continuing and revisiting that strategy to make sure the solution we move forward with is clear, reliable, and meets your needs.

We are actively reviewing the best possible migration path that will allow you to migrate all pages in a simple, scalable way - without risking any data loss. Once we land on the final approach, I’ll share a more detailed update on next steps and expected timing.

Thank you again for your patience and for continuing to highlight how important this is to your workflows.

I’ll keep this thread updated as we make progress.

Thanks,
Jenny Mueller

It would be great to have this update—it would save many of us hours of work, avoid duplication, and prevent data loss.

100% YES this is needed.
I am looking at close to 350 plus forms in my CRM.

I am eagerly awaiting an explanation as to why this tool was released without the need to convert "old" forms to the "new" builder having been considered until somewhere around 5 or 6 months later in spring of 2025.

Now in fall of 2025, this STILL isn't possible and the new form builder has been out for about a year, I believe.

What was the adoption strategy planned by HubSpot in this situation?

I'm failing to understand why a tool to convert your forms wasn't introduced at the same time as the editor, let alone the fact that we're a year out and it STILL isn't available. Not to mention the slews of other issues that the form tool has or features that it lacks compared to the old tool, which also certainly had a ton of shortcomings that needed to be addressed.

I really hope this tool is addressed and updated soon.

Come on, guys! Can we have a solution for this? We want to convert legacy forms to new form without losing older submissions etc.

@IMcDonald do we have an update on this functionality? I have a ridiculous number of forms that I am trying really hard to to have to recreated because it will impact not only my data continuity but a bunch of hubspot workflows for sales automations that will need to be updated.
