Second this feature request. Marketing Professional includes teams which is one option, but upgrading is cost-prohibitive for us. The "hack" I have used for the time being is to list those shared companies/contacts as "unassigned" and made sure that all reps/staff have access to "owned" and also "unassigned" records.
