Conditional logic supported in the HubSpot mobile app.

DianaGomez

I would like to suggest the addition of the option of conditional logic when creating records in the HubSpot mobile app, similar to how it already functions in the web version. I believe that this feature would greatly enhance the efficiency when working from mobile devices.

Our processes are based on some of these conditions, which make the objects created via the app non-compliant with our business processes. Workflows don't trigger, reports don't show the necessary data and many other problems.

No offense but is it possible that amazing updates like these:
https://app-eu1.hubspot.com/product-updates/26608090/new-to-you?update=13941223

(Create Custom Object...

gets pushed tested and put live into the system and no one cares about the associations aspect of it.

I dont know how many years it is possible now to create a contact without associating it to a company/ creating a deal without associating it to a contact etc. etc.

I think i speak for every customer when i say that creation of objetcs is worthless when the association aspect is not mandatory included.

So please add this feature to mobile its way overdue.

thanks

+1 for this. Many of my clients need this feature to work on mobile devices as well.

Dear HubSpot Team.

I`d like to describe our use case.

We have two fields: "Contact source" and "Event name". In case when "Contact source" = "Event" then in WEB version new, obligatory field is revealed "Event Name". There is no necessary for revealing it every time.

Then our BDMs are on conference and f.ex scanning business cards or creating contacts from scratchs. They are unable to fill field "Event Source" because it is simply not visible in their mobile app.

I kindly ask you for releasing this conditional logic in mobile app soon.

Best regards

This is badly needed. Not sure how this can't be easily replicated from desktop to mobile.

Many admins would love toadd this requirement! Reps in the field need to be held to the same requirements as ones doing inside sales

We need this!

Yes, please! All our field teams are working with Hubspot app and we really need to have dependant properties for Moving Deals and Tickets so they can provide all relevant information to our back office teams, currently we don't have any other way to set it.

Absolutely

I also find crazy that it lets you move stages.
it should at least block you when there is conditional logic.

Oh please HubSpot! This is a huge and fundamental requirement for the mobile app. This kind of functionality should've been included in the app a very long time ago. Please roll out this update ASAP! Working through the app has been a real pain because of this.

My client has a large team of field sales people.

They need to be able to enter deals in their mobile devices.

Right now they can not take advantage of the quick data entry based on dependent properties.

So, please make that happen!

We're in need of this too! Processes have to be the same for those working with Hubspot that are not highly skilled but willing to put in efforts.

its a fundemental requirement that the conditional logic works the same on both web and mobile platforms when it comes to Deal creation...  We have sales personel that can bypass sections and not complete forms which leads to a very frustrated team and management!!

With the amount of time between OP and me getting here to upvote, I dont have much faith in implementation any time soon 😥
Please make this possible! Crucial for expanding teams!

@ThimBaroudel , it's been a while since you submitted this idea, but I wanted to see if it was still relevant and if you could provide more details on the types of properties you aren't seeing enforced on mobile, as we're expecting all but associations and conditional properties to be support on mobile when records are created. Thanks in advance.

Hi Gaya, Im running into the same issue.

We have mandatory properties when creating a deal to streamline our clientdata and make sure the deal has a complete dataset. These mandatory properties are only required when in a certain deal stage in the funnel. The first 3 dealstages it is not mandatory to fill. This applies to custrom properties like (name for the invoice) but also for the mandatory link of a contact and company to a deal. This works perfectly on Desktop but not on mobile.

As our sales reps are adding deals on mobile after a client meeting, they are now able to add deals without linking a contact & company + not filling the complete data for invoices/proposals. This means we have deals in our funnel without all information. As we use this information also to push this directly into our proposals and invoices, these documents are incomplete and proposals are also made by staff who don't know the client well enough to fill the data and link the right contact/company.

Can you please check for this feature that the required datapoints in certain dealstages also apply when a deal is added via mobile?

A workaround is also fine by me.

@RRoerink , if I understood correctly, then there are 2 things involved here:

  • Requiring a record to have an association when creating a new record. This is currently being rolled out and you should have access to it by the end of the week. Here's a prod notification describing how it works
  • Require properties based on the value of another property (conditional properties). This is the next project we're working on. I don't have a specific launch time, but we're aiming for Q2.
