I would like to be able to compare a current period to that same period last year, not just the most previous period, with custom date ranges. We use google analytics for this mostly but it would be extremely helpful if it was a feature in Hubspot dashboards as well.
This does seem to be a very useful functionality especially for seasonal business that would want to compare their Q1 to Q3 in the same year or Q1 across different years.
At this moment, there is not built-in setting to compare different time frames within the same report. This workaround **bleep**...: would be to build 2 custom reports, with the two different years, one for 1.10.2020-31.5.2021 and the other with data from previous year same dates.
Being able to compare two custom timeframes within the same report could be an useful feature.
For us this option of comparing a given period compared to the same period last year or the same period two years ago is essential! Using 2 or 3 reports is not ideal. I would like to have this option in pivot tables. Using bar or line is also not helpful, especially if you want to look at a period of only 10 days and not an entire month!
Upvoting this idea, as recommended by HubSpot support. Here's our use case:
We are trying to update a traffic report to show the trailing 12 months instead of the calendar year. Currently, the report starts with the beginning of the calendar year. We'd like to have the current month all the way to the right and the previous 12 months' comparison trailing behind.
