Currently, hubspot does not recognise the subdomains in a company domain. So if I have a company with the domain vet.universityX.edu and one with med.universityX.edu hubspot adds and email to decan@vet.universityX.edu to both companies. That is very confusing and annoying. Please fix this since we deal mostly with universities, hospitals and clinics and the subdomains are KEY there.
100% agree. With government accounts, you could have 50 different organisations that all end with the same "gov.au" domain but they are completely different and independent organisations.
We're in the US and the same issue wrt government accounts comes up for us - each department has its own subdomain followed by "gov.xx" and they get automatically assigned to the wrong companies despite the subdomains being correct in HS.
We are having this issue with emails coming from other business that are our customers (B2B). We will receive emails from them that look something like asdfpqwer9872431.adsfe2.qasodiueewrwecbp@XXXXXXX.netsuite.com. Everything after the @ symbol is always the same for every one of the emails that come from the same company. So if I was able to add XXXXXXX.netsuite.com to the company record as a second domain, any emails from this company after this domain was added would automatically associate.
This is an issue for us as well. We have government entities and Hubspot keeps combining them. Another issue I'm experiencing is people with a google website. It thinks they are part of google as a company and then I have to untangle a mess.
