Community login from link in email must go to link after login

This is an improvement for all users on the HubSpot Community receiving notifications by emails.

 

Today I received a notification about an item I follow.

When I click on the link I go to the page and it shows the thread.

 

It says I need to login in order to comment, so I click on Login.

 

After logging in I stay on the main page.

 

This is not very helpful at I now need to navigate to the page where I want to make a comment.

 

Requirement:

- logging in on any page should navigate me back to the page after successful login

It use to stay on the page you were on when logging in - then it started leaving the page and replacing it with the main page. This is TERRIBLE!

Such a bad user experience.  PLEASE fix this so when we follow links, we can login and comment, upvote, etc without getting lost.

Thanks @JenniferErena - let us hope that this is fixed, but based on my experience you should not hold your breath. HubSpot does not really care about practical things link this ... or timezone is meetings.

It used to work.  I wish I had looked for a commmunity post when I first noticed, but...too much to do. 

User experience is getting more focus (and should always) for success.
