Color code to easily identify and classify contacts

Similarly to the iphone or Outlook setup it would be useful to have a color code that could be used from the contact board to identify contacts quickly, instead of using a custom property.

My idea was to customized company / contact / transaction. It would be at the level of their background colors to have an immediate visual identification. This would be particularly useful for the daily processing of tasks. It would also make the tool more attractive and more visual. The best would be to be able to customize the colors according to the properties chosen. For example, if it's a customer, have a blue background color and if it's a prospect have a green. If it's an MQL or SQL etc ... And the color could be applied only on the top left part of a company or a contact so as not to be too aggressive either.

This would be a great functionality for our business. We would utilise it in an instance where a customer no longer wanted to be contacted by us, we could then highlight them in red for example so that the whole team know not to contact them. The issue we have at the moment is that we have created a custom field to include notes such as 'DNC' but this can be easily missed. Equally, if we were to just remove these contacts from our database, there is every possibility that a team memeber may find them online and add them back in again not knowing the communication history and therefore creating a bad feeling between us and the customer. Having an immediate visual aid to see what the status of the contact is for our company will be a massive help and make our work much more efficient and customer-oriented.

Yes please, this would be a brilliant idea to seperate contact info. Other team members could easily identify red, green or orange customers like a traffic light system.

Yes this would be great for us for Lead Status. A color picker would be wisest so that we don't have to keep asking for colors.

Colour coding contacts would be a brilliant visual when dealing with our contacts.  Especially when a new staff member is involved.

What FScott describes, we would like to have on the top left side, right in the box where the contact's name and profile picture is.

Genius idea.

A colour visual way to distinguish those contacts that require extra care in account mgmt - i.e. they may have experienced an issue recently rendering them a yellow contact or had multiple issues and complained rendering them a red contact. This way whoever in the company picks up speaking with the contact has a way to to find out what exactly has been the issue and provide a more personal service being mindful of any heartache previously experienced by the contact.

This would be like Priority on Ticket properties

Secondary to this would be to then change priority using workflow automations due to service tickets created.

Adding color coding similar to deal tags currently but for contacts and companies would be extrememly helpful for navigating and using roadmaps in HubSpot!
