Need to be able to clone an individual deal. This is helpful for recurring revenue organizations and building MRR. Please!

Thank you for the continued discussion on this thread. I’d like to share an update on the enhancements we’ve made to address the most pressing needs.
Enhancements
Conditional properties are now supported: you can change the deal pipeline or stage during cloning, letting you split deals or tickets at clone time.
The cloned record now stores the source record’s name and record ID in Record source property 1 and Record source property 2. You can now set up a workflow to create an association between the source and cloned records, then copy any additional properties with the Edit record action.

Thank your for the contiuned discusssion on this thread. We are tracking each and every single feedback to help shape the future iterations of record cloning. So far, we have heard about a few key recurring themes.
The need to "split deals" by allowing pipeline stage to be change at clone time (and the correct properties cloned depending on the stage)
The need for a workflow action to automate the clone action
The need to copy all propreties (and exclude some properties as an admin configuration)
The need to copy all associations & activities beyond what's been configured in the record creation
Auto associating source & cloned record.
I'm happy to share that we have made the decision to prioritize #1 today so you can expect an upgrade within this release.

Hey HubSpot Community, Here to share an un-fun update. We explored Cloning Deals in the second half of 2023 but are not ready to execute yet. Projects like this seem easy on the surface, but both technical and customer experience implications really matter. We're committed to providing the best experience, and sometimes that means taking extra time to do so. I know this is still a pressing need, and plan to make strides this year. In the meantime, as folks on this thread have mentioned, either using a workflow or an app like Deal Duplicator are your, admittedly not perfect, best options. -Maggie

Thank you for your continued feedack here. I wanted to provide an update on the status of this idea. Cloning a deal is absolutely on a list of things we’d like to do. However, the list is long and time and resources are limited, so building this functionality is ultimately a question of priorities, and this is a lower priority compared to some of the other things we’re working on right now. We're continuing to keep an eye on the use cases provided in this idea and are always re-evaluating our top priorities, I'll be sure to update this thread when this is a more near-term priority.
Agreed. Our team would really like to have this, too. It happens especially with global sales teams that often start with different groups/contacts/departments and find that there's one deal in the end. Please do make this happen, Hubspot. Thanks!
Hi folks on the thread- one thing I do when thers an idea I want upvoted is to share it in my organization and ask that they upvote. This is absolutely a necessary feature for us to sustain our renewable software company on a platform like Hubspot. Lets keep the upvotes high!
Obviously it's a requested feature however, Hubspot just ignores our request. I've used others like Netsuite, Saleforce and a few others. Upvotes shouldn't matter at this point! Listen to your users.

I use Hubspot as a guide for making sales telephone calls. Frequently, I will reach a person on the telephone, who tells that me someone else in his company is a better point of contact. Everything in the first person's contact is often unchanged for the second person, excepting name, title, email address and phone number. However, sometimes even the phone number is unchanged. I might stumble through a half dozen new contacts in one such company before finally finding the right person to visit with, but all along the way I may be accumulating information on all six contacts, which will contribute to moving me closer to closing a deal. Sometimes I get all the way down to contact number six, and I find that contact number two is the REAL DEAL CLOSER.
I would like to be able to make new contacts by cloning the old contacts. I know that Hubspot bases everything on email addresses, and will not permit duplicate email addresses, which I agree is a good idea. However, if you go through a cloning process there WILL be, at least temporarily, a cloning of emails, which is not currently allowed. Hubspot should be set up so that temporarily copying cloned data is allowed until you hit the final "Save" button.
The way things are set up now I have to export one single contact into a csv file and then go through the laborious clicking process of changing that one exported file to the name and email address of the new contact and then turn around and import the new contact back into Hubspot. That's a LOT of trigger work for just one contact. I could key the contact in from scratch faster except now I am talking about increased probability that I will make a typo on something and corrupt the new contact so that I can't find it in a new search or I can't use it even if I find it.
You guys and gals are REALLY smart, but I think this is a glitch in your code, and it really needs to be fixed. Thanks, and best regards, Charles.
This would be a valuable feature to help improve deal management in accounts where there can be multiple contacts or multiple activities in a period of time that generate leads which when worked often consolidate.
